A Tribute to Cybersyn

The Project CyberSyn was a visionary initiative of the Salvador Allende government in Chile (1971–1973) that sought to use computer technology to create a participatory and democratic economic management system.

This page pays tribute to that pioneering effort of socialist cybernetics, which aimed to give workers and government tools for collective decision-making based on real-time data.

CyberSyn represented a "nervous system" for the economy, anticipating concepts that would only become common in business and government management decades later.
